ary: Multiple speed settings and blade to prevent chunk buildup.

I just used the immersion blender for the first time to make a smoothie. It worked great, blending everything in seconds. I love that this blender has one bent blade, which makes it less likely for those chunks to get caught under them. I threw in some ice cubes as well for consistency wasn t a problem although I recommend not doing too many at once, and not slamming the blender down on them as it might ruin the blade. I thought it was really cool that there is a dial for multiple speeds like a standing blender , so even on low, I was able to switch higher and lower to get the right speed and consistency. I have only ever seen immersion blenders with the classic two buttons this also has that but then you can turn the dial as needed. The spotlight wasn t too helpful for me, but is a cool addition. I think that it is meant to help locate chunks, but I didn t have any.. Will soon be using for soups, smoothies, milk shakes etc. I didn t use the whisk attachment yet, but it seemed to work fine when I did it in the air. All in all, it seems like a great immersion blender at a good price.
