Darlene Sredl, Ph.D., R.N.: Don t buy this if you really like coffee

The red appliance itself is beautiful on my countertop however it only drains amber-colored water. It seems like there is a path straight through the pod that does not allow all the coffee in the pod to be moistened before it drains into my cup. I have tried several ways unsuccessfully to help the machine retain a small amount of water for a little longer but it angers me that I bought a machine that is supposed to save time and I am going through all these extra steps just to get a cup of coffee. My next idea is to lodge part of a toothpick in the drain to slow the waterflow. I hope I don t get burned.
