Customer reviewsI ve also had good results in the dishwasher--but ONLY once I learned to ...
This simple little item has helped me produce some of the best-tasting coffee I ve ever made, and I ll admit I m quite particular about my coffee Here are my recommendations regarding its use 1 Grind your coffee beans fairly finely this helps control the flow rate of the water through the filter. If the grind is too coarse, the result is a weak brew. Icky. 2 As the packaging states, this item can be washed in a dishwasher. Although most days I just empty it and rinse it out with hot water, I ve also had good results in the dishwasher--but ONLY once I learned to thoroughly rinse out the stainless steel filter before using. The mesh is tight enough to filter out finely ground coffee--that s a good thing--but it also serves to trap a fair amount of soap residue. Double icky. 3 As always, it s necessary to experiment with proportions to suit your taste. My personal favorite is 3 tablespoons of finely ground coffee to 10 ounces of water just below the boil.
